St. Hilda's by the Sea Anglican Church
A Living Invitation to All to Connect with the Divine spacer

          In Memoriam

There is mystery here
and we open ourselves to this mystery, as we accept the reality of their deaths.
Their deaths speak to us
of the wonder of being human
in a universe so vast and so magnificent
and of our existence within a mystery and a power
that we cannot understand or put into words.
In a very real sense this vast and
magnificent universe of ours came alive and became aware in them.
They gave God a way of coming to expression,
here in our lives,
here in a way that reached out and touched us.
They lived and loved in God,
God lived and loved in them
and in death they live on in God.

I believe that the living God is with us always,
that people of faith are our brothers and sisters in the Holy Spirit.
I believe that those who have gone before have lessons to teach us and that we have more than one opportunity to learn and grow.
I believe that God is mercifully in control of human history,
and will bring it to completion, and we will be in God's memory forever.
