                         Harvey Milk by Robert Lenz

"If you say someone is disordered, that means there is something wrong with that person at the root of their being. I can't believe God would make someone who is wrong from the very beginning."
Most Rev. Thomas Gumbleton, auxiliary Catholic bishop of Detroit

"Whosoever stands up for human rights stands up for the rights of God."

St. Hilda’s is a place of welcome for all people – this includes those who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender.  We consider our sacred space a safe and receptive one for GLBT women and men to begin or continue their faith journeys.  Our congregation includes several gay and lesbian people, who are involved at all levels in the parish.  St. Hilda’s is one of eight parishes in the Diocese of New Westminster which made the decision to offer blessings of same-gender unions.

The people of St. Hilda’s look forward to making our household of faith even more welcoming and inclusive through offering opportunities for worship and fellowship throughout the year.  Please check the Calendar of Events regularly for details.  Location St. Hilda's Church, Sechelt
