REVEREND NEIL FERNYHOUGH, PRIEST IN CHARGE

Neil was ordained to the priesthood in 2000, and served his curacy at St. James Vancouver. He undertook doctoral studies in Berkeley California in New Testament ethics, returning to the Diocese in 2004 to pursue a specialization in Interim Ministry. Neil is a former child protection social worker concerned and committed about
 social justice issues as they relate to the environment, equality, and power structures.  Neil is one of the founders of The Widening Circle, a grassroots organization dedicated to reclaiming a welcoming, inclusive Anglican Christianity. Neil loves the outdoors, cooking and playing soccer.

REVEREND BRUCE MORRIS - DEACON

Bruce MorrisOrdained as Deacon at St. Hilda's for 14 years, Bruce has been a member of the parish since 1985, and has a long history on the Sunshine Coast, beginning with the arrival of his grandfather in 1919. Bruce's areas of ministry focus on adult Christian education and outreach into the community. Bruce's secular job is Vice President of Trail Bay Properties, which operates Trail Bay Centre, and he has always referred to his works as "Pastoral care in the pickle aisle". He looks for opportunities in the workplace for ministry. He is married to Margaret and has three grown children. .
REVEREND LINDA VARIN - DEACON

Linda VarinOrdained as Deacon to St. Hilda's in June of 2006, Linda is the St Mary's Hospital Chaplaincy Coordinator, visiting patients, contacting other chaplains for visitation, attending patients and families at time of death, and attending discharge planning meetings for St. Mary's, weekly.  Linda also takes Anglican services to Totem Lodge and Shorncliffe every month (Diane Kozoris assisting). Linda also is a member of the Chaplaincy Policy Advisory Committee in Vancouver, preparing and revising hospital policy for chaplaincy programs in BC. In secular life Linda provides Counselling services for singles, couples, same sex couples, marriage preparation, drug and alcohol recovery, children/teens, grief and spiritual counselling. She can be reached at 604.740-9897. Linda is married to Andre and between them they have four grown children and two granddaughters.

sTEPHANIE EATON, ADMINISTRATION
Stephanie keeps everything together at the office and keeps the gears of St. Hilda's working smoothly. Stephanie works Tuesday through Friday, from 9 am to 2pm, and assists Neil with his schedules and appointments. MAGGIE SCOTT, PEOPLE'S WARDEN
Maggie has her ear to the ground in the congregation, taking individual comments and reports from the Climate Committee and other church committee members to the Rector as warranted.  If you have any questions, comments or concerns as a member of the congregation, please contact Maggie through the office number of 604 885 5019

Tom Kellough-PollackTom is responsible for the beautiful music of St. Hilda's. Tom is our Choir Leader, Pianist and Organist. If you would like to get involved in the musical life of the Parish of St. Hilda's, please contact Tom through the office number above.
BONNIE PAETKAU, RECTOR'S WARDEN
Bonnie PaetkauBonnie and her husband Eric have been parishioners at St Hilda's for over 40 years and have been active in many aspects of parish life for most of that time. Their five children have given them ten grandchildren (so far!). The wardens are charged to see that building maintenance, finances, commitments to the diocese, staffing, and other practical matters are dealt with in a timely and responsible manner and are very thankful for the many skilled and reliable volunteers they can rely on to keep things running smoothly. Wardens are expected to be alert to pastoral and spiritual concerns within the parish. They have a frank, honest and supportive relationship with the Rector and meet with him on a regular basis.
