Feast of St. Francis and the Blessing of the Pets
Sunday, October 4 – Services at 8 and at 10 a.m.
St. Francis is the patron saint of animals and the environment. It seems right that we conclude this Season of Creation on this feast day. We will follow the tradition of blessing of animals (pets of all kinds).
The blessings, at the 10a.m. service, will be on the labyrinth so people can leave their “frisky” pets either in their car or run home to bring them back. NO GUARANTEES that pets will be more obedient after their blessing!
