Gospel Singing Workshop with Marcus Mosely:  Saturday October 16 from 10 am-12:30 pm at St. Hilda's.   Admission is free.

Gospel music is fun, joyous, and some of the most inspirational and electrifying music to arise from North America. Join award-winning Marcus Mosely, and directors Darlene Cooper and Bill Sample (creative team of the Marcus Mosely Ensemble) as they guide you through a fascinating musical journey. This 2.5 hr workshop provides participants with an overview exploration of the traditions and vocal techniques of this genre of singing from its roots in field songs and spirituals to its development into blues, jazz, and R&B.  Gospel music has been used as a herald of social justice and civil rights.  It unifies and connects people and serves as a powerful platform to let one’s voice be heard.  Come and lift your voice!

Online registration required as workshop is limited to 50 people. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER early to ensure a spot.

PLEASE NOTE: Vaccination passports required to enter.
