Come join us at St. Hilda’s for our Taizé service at 4pm every second Sunday of the month. Taizé is a meditative service which includes prayer, simple songs, times of silence and readings. Song refrains are sung many times over as a prayer of the heart. It is a time to quiet your soul and enter into sacredness.
What is Taize? Taizé (pronounced: tay-zay) is a meditative service that uses a prayerful form of music known for its simple, yet rich and meditative character. Taizé music often takes the structure of an ostinato (a simple melody that repeats over and over) and is meant to serve as a kind of musical centering prayer.
