St. Hilda’s has an active Anglican Church Women group, known as the ACW. The ACW endeavors to reach an awareness of members’ part in Christ’s mission through fellowship based on worship, learning and sharing.

Membership in the ACW is open to all women. If you are an Anglican church woman, you automatically belong to the ACW in your parish. But there is no obligation. You may participate as much or as little as you like.

You can learn about what the ACW does by attending an ACW meeting.  St. Hilda’s ACW meets from September to June on the third Wednesday of the month at 10am. All women are welcome to attend the meeting with a light luncheon following.

ACW activities help members to live their faith through service, stewardship and outreach:

Our ACW raises money in various ways  and these funds are disbursed once a year to local projects such as Arrowhead, Sunshine Coast Food Bank, Mission to Seafarers, Salvation Army, Yew Transition House. and further afield the Stephen Lewis Foundation supporting Grandmothers raising many orphaned grandchildren in Africa.

  • Coffee hour – Volunteers provide coffee, tea and juice after the 10 am Sunday service.
  • Funeral Receptions – When a funeral service is held at St. Hilda’s church, the Funeral reception team provides a presence to support the family and catering a light lunch.
